Ofloxacin 200 mg & Ornidazole 500 mg Tablets (10×10 Pack) is a combination medicine containing Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, and Ornidazole, an antimicrobial agent effective against certain anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. This combination may be prescribed by a healthcare professional for selected mixed infections involving susceptible bacteria and protozoal organisms, particularly certain gastrointestinal infections, depending on the diagnosis and local treatment guidelines. Ofloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial enzymes essential for DNA replication, thereby preventing susceptible bacteria from multiplying, while Ornidazole acts against susceptible anaerobic microorganisms and protozoa by damaging their genetic material. The combination is intended for use only when both components are clinically appropriate; it is not suitable for every case of diarrhoea or stomach infection, and it should not be used for routine self-treatment. The tablets are supplied in a 10×10 pack, containing 10 strips of 10 tablets each, for a total of 100 tablets per pack. Ofloxacin may cause nausea, abdominal discomfort, dizziness, and, rarely, serious tendon, nerve, or nervous-system side effects; Ornidazole may cause nausea, a metallic taste, or dizziness. Patients should follow the prescribed directions, avoid alcohol during treatment and for the period advised after the final dose, and inform their healthcare professional about pregnancy, breastfeeding, liver or kidney problems, or other medicines they take. Antibiotics and antiprotozoal medicines should be used only under appropriate medical supervision.
